A summary of the very successful event, thanks to all those who came!:

MSES Officers and Scholarship Committee teamed with the University of Minnesota to hold a pizza lunch with students on October 5.  The goal was to increase the understanding students have of MSES and of our scholarship program specifically. It was quite informal with President Jon Chiglo spending a few moments speaking about the network opportunities we offer with our diverse membership.  Other members spoke to the group as well as individually about what we are looking for in applicants and the type of work opportunities there are in the field.  Two of this year's recipients spoke about the process and encouraged their classmates to apply.

A special thank you goes out to the faculty, staff and student groups in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geo-Engineering at the U of MN that resulted in at least 30 students knowing more about our organization.

All are invited!  This is an informal event to introduce students to MSES - especially to find out about our Scholarship Program and learn about our society, meeting present (and past) scholarship recipients, alumni, and ANY member with MSES to talk about the value of networking.
