In 2020, MSES celebrated our 125th Anniversary. While we were so excited to celebrate this milestone, COVID-19, delayed our plans. We are now ready to begin the celebration of our 125th year . In preparation for this amazing milestone, we updated our mission, rebranded, and created a new fund with a goal of raising $125,000 to support the future of the transportation infrastructure industry! Please read on for more information about our mission, our goals and how you can contribute to this fund.
The MSES Mission
By Investing in Minnesota Transportation Infrastructure Professionals, MSES ensures continued industry excellence, innovation, integrity, and leadership through:
Attracting and Building Tomorrow's Leaders: The MSES Annual Scholarship Program awards scholarships to deserving college students who demonstrate strong academic performance along with an interest in working in the Minnesota transportation infrastructure industry.
Connecting and Engaging Professionals: MSES values the importance of connecting industry professionals through a variety of networking, social, and educational events offered throughout the year.
Developing and Growing Meaningful Relationships: MSES members improve their current industry effectiveness through camaraderie fostered by active event participation, volunteer service, and fundraising opportunities.
A key part of the MSES Mission is raising funds to provide scholarships for students who intend to work in the transportation field. MSES currently has a scholarship fund held at US Bank that was set up to fund students specifically and exclusively in the engineering and surveying fields. We are proud of this fund that has helped hundreds of students in our industry finance their college education.
As part of our 125th Anniversary rebranding, we created another investment fund to support our mission by broadening the reach of MSES to include not only scholarships for engineers and surveyors, but also students going into other fields that support the transportation infrastructure industry, including planners, technicians, technology, administrators, sales representatives, contractors, and construction. This fund also[GU1] [GU2] includes support for a wide range of activities to further the mission of MSES such as supporting STEAM activities and organizations that encourage students to choose the transportation infrastructure industry.
Today we are asking for you to make a sizable donation to this account so that we can reach our goal of at least $125,000 for 125 years! Donors will be recognized throughout the year and at our 125th Celebration tentatively scheduled for early2022.
We greatly appreciate your support and appreciate your involvement with MSES.
